Some of you may be unclear of what a clinical trial really is...
A medical research study, also known as a clinical trial, is a scientific evaluation of an investigational medication or treatment in study volunteers. Clinical trials must take place before treatments can become available to the public. Research studies provide the means for developing FDA approved treatments that can be more effective or safer than existing treatments. Studies also provide a way to evaluate medications that are already FDA approved for other uses. Participation in a research study is completely voluntary at all times.
